Part of my journey is learning to eat locally and in season. Especially in areas where the 'four traditional seasons' are in full effect one of the purposes of the harvest was to store food for the upcoming winter AND have a feast due to the surplus. <BR/><BR/>It's funny cause the schools are still on the agricultural schedule (which is why they are off all during the summer cause people use to have to help on the farm planting) and they don't need to be yet we can and should be yet aren't.
