Thanks for that build. All too often we or at least I tend to focus soo much on refining the esoteric that I neglect and forget about the exoteric. Builds like this are rare and very much needed. It's that balance of both the exo and eso that I am now trying to focus on. And this is the hard part-creating and maintaining that proper balance.
It's so much easier yo to memorize a lesson then it is to train your self to eat one meal a day. LOL.
I would say this is actually one half of that 240 everybody talks about or at least for me I'm seeing it to be.
Peace, Indeed. Discipline is essential to everything that we got to do. And in effect that mental training needs to spill over into the physical plane.
This is yet another great post! : ) I really like that you mentioned CRON (caloric restriction with optimal nutrition). It has been one of my favorite topics for 5 years now. I actually do not discuss it with anyone. My husband is aware, but only because I utilize a software program to track my nutrition. In the beginning he was a little freaked out by it, but now he thinks it is great for me.
For many years my mother only ate one main meal per day. A few years ago I really had a nice natural flow going with my vegan CRON practice, but then I stopped. Now, I'm back at it and it is taking me some time to get used to it. I finally started eating a lot more seeds/nuts (especially hemp seeds) and almond milk so smoothies are allowing me to effortless return to my CRON practice. It is my hope that CRON and/or CRAN can eventually become something that is talked about more often because of its awesome benefits.
I rate your blog to the fullest. I have been vegan from birth, but have had weak moments which have caused me to constantly shift from both states of vegan and vegetarian. I am not ready for a raw food approach yet, but your blog has motivated me to go back to vegan and make a serious effort to stick with it.
2000 B.C. - Here, eat this root. 1000 A.D. - That root is heathen. Here, say this prayer. 1850 A.D. - That prayer is superstition. Here, drink this potion. 1940 A.D. - That potion is snake oil. Here, swallow this pill. 1985 A.D. - That pill is ineffective. Here, take this antibiotic. 2000 A.D. - That antibiotic is artificial. Here, eat this root.
Found the above sprouting at the blog of FaaTma, vegetable nerd and mudslinger.
